Baby Girl Playlist For Baby Shower

Songs about baby girls that you need on your baby shower playlist

Everybody knows that you need a great playlist for your baby shower. Music helps your guests settle in and fills any awkward social gaps. If you’re like me, you are bound to have lots of awkward. You NEED this playlist! Not to mention the fact that music can set the mood to any event. I’m sure you know these things, that’s why you’re here! You have a playlist to make, and since your baby girl is the sweetest in the world, you need one that is just perfect.

As a mom of two sweet little girls, I have had plenty of time to find come across songs about daughter’s that make me burst into tears, laugh, and radiate with gratitude knowing that I am lucky enough to be their mom. I promise these songs will make you feel all the emotions. Welcome to girl-momhood, we are very emotional here.

This playlist is good for more than just your baby shower, too! I still have the playlist we used for my baby shower, and I’ve listened to it again and again. Sometimes, it’s nice to allow yourself to drown in the love you have for your babies. They make this life worth living, after all.

So without further ado….

Songs about Little Girls to Sweeten your Baby Shower

In My Daughter’s Eyes by Martina McBride

In My Daughter’s Eyes By Martina McBride

Want to see me cry? Play this song. Want to see an embarassing performance? Force me to try to sing it. I think it’s impossible for a girl mom to sing this song without choking up. (Unless you’re Martina McBride I guess, but we can’t all be perfect.)

Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder

Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder

This is an obvious MUST include song on your baby shower playlist when you are expecting a little girl. Your daughter is going to be the absolute most lovely human being you have ever laid eyes on, it’s just a fact.

All-American Girl by Carrie Underwood

Beautiful, wonderful, perfect…. This song was totally written specifically about your baby girl. Hands down. If you’re having a baby girl here in America, this song makes the cut!

Baby Girl by Will Hodge

Baby Girl by Will Hodge

A beautiful song dedicated to your sweet little one wrapped in pink, Baby Girl by Will Hodge is another one that I’m not sure I can sing along to without turning into a puddle. I’m sure one day, my daughter’s will be laughing at the way I can’t listen to songs like this without unravelling.

Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle

Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle

See if you can get your husband to cry with you to this one. This one is particularly sweet if you are Christian and pray daily with your children. There is just something so incredibly sweet about butterfly kisses from your little lady. The talk about growing up and looking like her momma? Yeah that sends me. Don’t get me started on the wedding bit…

Lady by Brett Young

Lady by Brett Young

Speaking of your little lady, here’s your reminder that you will be your daughter’s example of womanhood. No big deal, just a minor responsibility here. This song is newer having been released in 2020, and when I first heard it, it went straight to my daughter playlist!

There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney

There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney

This one goes through several stages of parenthood, from the initial shock of an unplanned pregnancy, to the overwhelming love you have for that sweet little girl, to sending your now young lady off to college. Why are we trying to put so many emotions into one song? Because we are suckers for it, that’s why!

My Front Porch Looking In by Lonestar

My Front Porch Looking In by Lonestar

If you want a song that helps you to remember what’s truly important in this life, My Front Porch Looking In is just the one. I think it’s impossible to feel down when listening to this song. Right now, the “shoes on wrong cuz she likes to dress herself” really resonates with me as a mom of two stubbornly independent toddlers.

It Won’t Be Like This For Long by Darius Rucker

It Won’t Be Like This For Long by Darius Rucker

It truly won’t be like this for long, Momma. Enjoy your pregnancy, enjoy your baby shower, enjoy your newborn… Soak up every phase (and endure some too.) There are so many ups and downs in parenthood, but mostly it is pure joy.

My Little Girl by Tim McGraw

You can’t go wrong with some Tim McGraw! This is your classic Daddy daughter song, good for everything from the baby shower, weekends with your little girl, and that big Father/Daughter wedding dance.

For My Daughter was released in 2018 just before I had my firstborn. We love some Kane brown, and this song is great for those Dad’s trying break the cycle and be better for their daughters.

The Best Day by Taylor Swift

The Best Day by Taylor Swift

When I hear this song, it reminds me of my childhood and makes me determined to give my little girls an equally magical childhood. Now I get to be the Mom and there is so much weight, responsibility, and joy in that. We moms now get to be the creators of those “best days.”

I Saw God Today by George Strait

I Saw God Today by George Strait

Seeing your baby girl for the first time certainly does make denying God feel impossible. How could something so perfect be anything but God’s creation. This is another must for the Christian girl mom! (or girl dad)

Spaceship by Andy Grammer

Spaceship by Andy Grammer

My husband discovered this song and played it for me when we were living in our tiny apartment. We were starting to think seriously about adding a baby to our family. I cried then, and I cried again listening to it when I found out I was pregnant six months later.

Forever Now by Michael Bublé

Forever Now by Michael Bublé

Forever Now is a bittersweet song about loving your children forever, even as they grow up and leave our care. The love a parent has for their child is indescribable, but this song does a good job of trying to.

Thank God For Kids by Kenny Chesney

Thank God For Kids by Kenny Chesney

A sweet song that reminds us of the reasons children are so special, Thank God For Kids is a no brainer for your baby shower or daughter playlist. It’s easy to get caught up in the crazy day-to-day of parenthood. Whenever, we talk about it, my husband and I always conclude that despite the crazy, the busy, the mess… We wouldn’t have it any other way. We sure do thank God for our kids.

Just Another Day In Paradise by Phil Vassar

Just Another Day In Paradise by Phil Vassar

My earliest memory of this song is of sitting in the backseat of my parents’ car when I was young. They sang along and reached for each other’s hands and gave each other that soul-mate smile they often shared. I now am able to understand this song from a parents’ perspective. I appreciate the picture of unity and joy it evokes, living out this imperfect paradisiacal dream of raising a family with your person.

Here we have another one to pull at your heartstrings, reminding you to cherish each moment with your little one. It may feel like your newborn may never sleep the night… And then they do.

Another one that reminds us to slow down. These days really do go by too fast. Though will I miss being sick every other week? I’m skeptical.

You’re Having My Baby by Paul Anka

You’re Having My Baby by Paul Anka

Honestly, I can’t hear this one without thinking of the Hillywood Show’s Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Spoof. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend doing a quick YouTube right now. However, it’s still a sweet sentiment of a song.
