It’s the most wonderful time of the year, Mommas! Which also means that it’s time to break out that beloved (or not-so-beloved) Elf on the Shelf! Yes, I know. There’s the thrill of the first day your Elf arrives and you just can’t wait to see the look on your kids’ faces when they realizes that their well-loved Elf has returned for the Christmas season! Then there’s the dread when you realize you forgot to move the dang thing last night... Again. I once discovered our elf had fallen from her hiding place and was just laying on the middle of the floor when I came down with our kids one morning. In sheer panic, I raced ahead of the girls and kicked that thing into a pile of God-only-knows-what mess and quickly directed them to the kitchen for breakfast to I could put the Elf in a new, hasty position. Hooray for holiday traditions!

If you are like me, you are pretty new to this Elf thing. You also probably have very little time and creative energy left in you by the end of the day.
